Memorials

Memorial services

A memorial service is an opportunity for you and your family to honour the life
of your deceased loved one. Memorials can take place anywhere you like
– the choice is yours.

MEMORIAL SERVICE FEATURES

  • A memorial service is different to a funeral service; it’s a ceremony that does not involve a burial or cremation.
  • Memorial services may be held at any time after the death of your loved one. Many families choose to hold memorial
services in the weeks following the death. Alternatively, memorials are often held on personally significant dates, such
as the first anniversary of the death.
  • Memorial services may be held in any location. Many people choose places with personal significance, such as a
favourite outdoor location or even the family home.
  • There is no formal structure to a memorial service; arrangements can be as traditional or as informal as you wish.
  • After the memorial service, it is common for the family and friends to gather at a reception to celebrate the event.

"Whatever you decide is right for you or your loved one, we’ll make sure the funeral is everything you want, from start to finish.”
